Orientation Programme for the Teachers (19/06/2019)

Orientation Programme

At the very onset of the New Academic Year 2019-2020, the teaching staffs were given an orientation programme. Rev. Fr Johnson, the Principal of St. Joseph School, Mahoba was the resource person for the same. The programme included various input sessions, workshop and Power Point presentations on various relevant topics related to learning and teaching.

Shradhanjali ( श्रद्धांजलि ) to Rev. Sr Kripa, the former Principal (25/06/2019)

During the assembly a Shradhanjali was paid to Rev. Sr Kripa PSA, the former Principal of Christ Jyoti CBSE School. She was diagnosed cancer and was under medication for the past seven and half years in Ajmer. She died on May 10th. Rev. Sister served the School for the past two years as the Principal.

Tree Day (13/07/2019)

Tree Day

“One touch of nature makes the whole world kin”, William Shakespeare, with this message the Christ Jyoti CBSE School observed ‘The Green Day’. The students took keen interest to bring different tree-plants to contribute to the green space around the school. This was also an occasion for the students and staffs to be reminded of their conformity with the nature. We cannot despise the give and take bond that exists between the man and the nature.

Birthday Celebration of the Principal and Investiture Ceremony (23/07/2019)

The Christ Jyoti Family gathered together to solemnize the Birthday celebration of Rev. Sr Regi PSA, the New Principal. The day was also coincided with the Investiture Ceremony of the young and newly elected house in-charges and leaders of the school for the New Academic Year 2019-2020. On this occasion the students with the help of the staffs staged variety of programmes. Mr. Rajendra Kumar Jain, the manager of SBI Branch Lavkushnagar, chaired the meeting.

73rd Independence Day and the Festival of Raksha Bandan (15/08/2019)

Independence Day

The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated with its due solemnity and Respect. The students from Christ Jyoti School had variety of programmes to be staged to pay respect and homage to the Nation. Rev. Fr Joseph Edathil chaired the function. The celebration of the Indian festival Raksha Bandan had also coincided the day. Each of the staff members had tied the Rakhi, the symbol of the sacred bond between the brother and sister, on each other’s wrist.

Teachers’ Day

‘A good teacher is like a candle-it consumes itself to light the way for others,’ the quote proves to be true as the Nation celebrated the Teachers’ Day. The students honoured their teachers by gifting them and seeking blessing from them. Number of programmes staged by the students and a variety of completions for the teachers by the students coloured the day.

Gandhi Jayanti (02/10/2019)

The School solemnly celebrated the Gandhi Jayanti. Many cultural programmes were arranged and staged by the students. As per the instruction given, based on Gandhiji’s Contribution to the Nation and to its people, thirty-minute lengthy video was played in the school-auditorium, before the Teachers and Students. On this day the school also had brought out ‘Say no to Plastic’ campaign, related to which the students took initiative to clean their school premises to get rid-off the wastes especially that of plastics. Various competitions like poster making and placards making also were part of the day.

Cultural Competitions

To promote and exhibit the hidden talents of the students, the school conducted various competitions. Many of the categories like story-telling, extempore, essay writing, story writing, poem writing, group dances, solo dances, skits, group songs, drawings, memory test, reading competitions, mimicry, mono act, fancy dress, model making, poster making etc. were included for the competitions. The winners were selected for the upcoming Next Level Schools’ cultural competitions.

The day turned to be an occasion to honour those students who have excelled in various cultural events during the Inter-School Cultural Fest ‘Christus’ held at Maria Mata CBSE School Chhatarpur. The students bagged number of prizes proving themselves to be equipped to compete with any one of their peer group of any extent. The school has secured the second runner up position with 51 points.




School inspection for the CBSE affiliation Extension (22/10/2019)

Mr. Anoop Khare, the Principal of Hope Academy at Chhatarpur arrived at Christ School to inspect the School and its functioning. The inspection was began 8.30 am and continued till 2.30 pm. The inspector specially congratulated and appreciated both the management and the teaching faculty for their committed service.

Diwali Celebrations and Diya Making Competition (23/10/2019)

Diya Making Competition

The day of Diwali, the festival of lights was an attraction to the school as it celebrated the festival in the school level. The children had the Diya making, Notice Board decoration and Rangoli-making competitions. The competitions among the students were carried out house base (Blue, Yellow, Red and Green). The teachers and the students together lighted the Diya, which symbolizes the removal of the evil and darkness.

Zonal Level School Competition at Satna (24/10/2019)

The winners from the Inter-School Competitions held at Chhatarpur, were selected for the Zonal Level Cultural Fest held at Christ Jyoti CBSE School, Satna. The students have done the best out of they could to compete with the students of other schools. The students had their mesmerizing performances with which they arrested the attention of the audience.

Children’s Day Celebrations (14/11/2019)

The Children’s Day celebration was another attraction in the school. The students had staged variety of good cultural programmes on the occasion. Some of the Teachers also were invited by the students to perform the programmes. A friendly cricket match also was organized between the gents-teachers and the tenth class students, the teachers won the match and were awarded.

Fit India Movement (15/11/19)

Fit India Movement, a nation-wide movement in India to encourage people to remain healthy and fit by including physical activities and sports in their daily lives, was carried out in the school with lots of encouragement and enthusiasm. The school had various mental and physical programmes like Yoga, special assembly, PT, Poster-making, essay writing, Khokho, tyre-rolling, stone games, gardening, story-telling, reading challenge, quiz competitions etc. The students along with the teachers had active participation in all of these programmes.

Transfer and New Appointment (16 & 19/11/2019)

As Rev. Fr Antony Pullan completed his four and half years of service at Christ Jyoti CBSE School, as the Manager, it was his turn to shift his area of activity to a new one. Rev. Father was given a grand send-off from the School. The occasion turned to be a time to congratulate and thank him for his relentless and dedicated services and also to wish him all the very best for all his new endeavours. On his transfer, Rev. Fr Rony Maruthummoottil the former Director of Samaritan Social Service Society replaced Rev. Fr Antony. Fr Rony was welcomed with great cordiality by the staffs and students. All wished him the very best in the days to come.

Sports Meet (22/11/2019)

The Sports and games play a great role in every student’s life. It’s also an occasion for the students to make themselves relived and relaxed from their daily routine of studies and heavy academic activities. With this intention Christ Jyoti School has set apart a day for Sports and games. Rev. Fr Rony chaired and inaugurated the event and he also spoke on the importance of Sports and Games in the life of students. Number of competitions were part of the day. The day was closed with the awarding of the winners.

Constitutional Day Celebrations (23/11/2019)

A day to reflect over the Constitution of our Nation was arranged on 23rd of November. Awareness classes and various input sessions on Indian Constitution were arranged on the same day. The day was observed as per the circular of CBSE.

Science and Art Exhibition (30/11/2019)

As per the circular of CBSE, Christ Jyoti CBSE School has arranged ‘One Day Science and Art Exhibition’. Principals, staffs and students from the nearby schools and good number of parents turned to be the part of the event. Many of the parents, as it was their first-time experience to such an exhibition, after their visit, left behind their positive remarks on its meticulous arrangements and planning and they even proposed it to be the part of curriculum in the years to come. The exhibition really had a positive and boosting influence on each of the students. The best models in the exhibition were awarded by Mr. Kailash Ahirwar the SDM of Lavkushnagar, he was the chief guest of the event.

Water Conservation Day (17/12/2019)

‘No Water No Life’, understanding the meaning between this line, a day to ponder over Natures’ greatest free gift of water, was arranged. To colour this day the children had availed themselves in making relevant and meaningful posters placards.

Khadi wearing Day & Sarva Dharma Prarthana Diwas (18/12/2019)

सद्भावना दिवस

As part of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, and as per the circular of the CBSE, Khadi wearing day was observed. The students and the staffs were asked to be present in Khadi dress. Awareness programme on the harmful effects of the plastic products and the use of the Jhute bags also were given stress on the same occasion. To promote the religious harmony among the people of India, Sarva Dharma Prarthana Diwas also was observed. The children made a symbolic presentation every Religion and prayed for the Religious harmony of the Nation.

Christmas Celebration (21/12/2019)

The school level Christmas Celebrations were held on 21st of December. His Excellency Mar Joseph Kodakallil, the Bishop of Satna, the SDMO and the TI of Lavkush Nagar were the Chief guests of the function. Along with many cultural programmes by the students, there were also Christmas-Tree and Star making competitions.

Anger Free Zone (17/01/2020)

Making the schools ‘Anger-free zones’ will help students in developing effective skills and in eradicating emotions like fear, humiliation, hurt and disrespect which are the byproducts of anger. Keeping this intention in mind the School has set apart a day to promote the Anger Free Zone movement, the children had actively took part in it.


Pariksha Pe Charcha (20/01/2020)

Master Ayush Raikwar, from tenth class was selected to take part in PM’s Pariksha pe Charcha programme which was held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, on 20th of January. The students were given the opportunity to watch the programme live in YouTube. Master Ayush Raikwar along with his family members was honoured by the school management for his active participation in the programme. He was one among the 19 students from MP and one among the four students from Chhatarpur District to participate in the same.

Republic Day Celebration (26/01/2020)

As the Nation celebrated the Republic Day, the School level Republic Day celebrations were carried out with all its solemnity. Rev. Fr Rony Maruthummoottil was the Chief Guest of the programme. He has inspired the young minds by exhorting them to be the good citizens of our Country and to be at the service of the nation in every way possible. The students in honour of the out Nation have performed number of Patriotic dances, songs and skits. As per the instructions given some of the students also were taken to the Mela Ground at Lavkushnagar for their cultural performance. The students were awarded with the second prize for their group dance.

Common PTM (08/02/2020)

On 8th of February, a common Parents-Teachers Meeting was arranged by the School Management. It was occasion for every parents, teachers and students to come together and to clarify their doubts, difficulties and challenges that they face in the matter of studies. The parents appreciated the endeavour and wished to be carried out the same in alternative time periods.

Farewell to the Tenth Class Students (15/02/2020)

Being part of Christ Jyoti family for many years 39 of our tenth class students bid farewell to their second home ‘Christ Jyoti CBSE School’. The Ninth Class Students initiated for the cultural programmes in honour of their elder brothers and sisters. Rev. Fr Manager and Sr Principal felicitated them and wished them all the very best for their success in the upcoming Board Exams. A sumptuous lunch for the tenth class students and teaching staffs was also part of the function.
